Ordering, Shipping, Returns, Pricing
Ordering and PaymentsCustomers can place orders on our website after becoming Registered Users. A Registered User establishes an account with a Username and Password of their choice. All ordering requires you to provide your name, billing address, shipping address, contact information (e-mail address; telephone number), and credit card information. Also, since we use PayPal Merchant Services for secure payment management, a customer can complete a purchase from the shopping cart by selecting the PayPal payment option. In addition, we accept the following credit cards: Amex, Discover, Master Card, and Visa. A Registered User account will retain your information, EXCEPT for your credit card information. Shipping and HandlingCoffee: We ship our coffee products from the farm directly to customers via USPS Priority Mail. The coffee shipments are carefully packaged for safe transit. Delivery to the U.S. mainland generally takes 2 to 3 days. This method ensures that the roasted coffee beans, whole or ground, are fresh on arrival. Shipping rates are based on the weight of the product and the size of the package. We will ship to a military base or diplomatic location by using an APO, FPO, or DPO address. Current standard rates for shipping within the USA: 0.5 to 1.5 pounds: $9.25 Current rates for shipping to Canada: 0.5 to 1.5 pounds: $26.90 Shipping rates on non-Canadian international orders will vary according to the destination and the package size. Prices can vary from about $35 to $99. Please contact us directly to determine the pricing (808-322-0652; absolute.palate@gmail.com). Return PolicyCoffee: The roasted coffee being sent to you is always freshly roasted to order with our fluidized-bed air roaster just before we ship it. We do not maintain inventory of roasted coffee on a shelf to fulfill orders. Given that roasted coffee has a limited shelf-life, we do not accept product returns. In the case of an error in your order or damage in shipping that compromises the quality of your order, please contact us for resolution of the problem (808-322-0652; absolute.palate@gmail.com). Product PricingNumerous forces contribute to the rise of costs for doing business. Coffee prices have been increasing globally, along with regular price inflation. Costs have been constantly rising for essential treatments to protect our crop and trees from the coffee berry borer (CBB) and coffee leaf rust (CLR), for needed fertilizers, and for manual labor, especially scarce pickers who hand-harvest the berries over a 4-month period. From time to time, we are forced, reluctantly, to make suitable adjustments to product prices in order to defray increases in our farming costs. We hope that you can be understanding about this situation. |
